If you've ever left church wondering what your next step is, you're not alone. At some point, many people realize they're looking for more than just attending on Sundays. They want to find community, grow spiritually, and make a real impact.

That’s why we created the Weekender. 

The Weekender is your next step into the life of our church. It’s where you move from attending to belonging.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Weekender is simple, intentional, and designed with you in mind. Whether you’re new to church or just new to New City, the Weekender is your clear next step and gives you a meaningful way to learn, connect, and grow in your faith.

Enjoy dinner, meet some of our staff, and hear the heart behind everything we do. We’ll walk through our mission, what New City is like, and how you can be part of it.

STEP 2: SUNDAY MORNING

TRY A SERVE TEAM

Join us for Sunday service at your campus and experience what it’s like to serve on a team. You’ll shadow a serve area to see how your gifts can make a difference.

STEP 3: WHAT'S NEXT

PLUG IN + GROW

After the Weekender, you’ll have clear next steps to help you plug in—whether that’s serving, joining a group, or exploring baptism.

FAQs ABOUT THE WEEKENDER

The Weekender is a two-part experience designed to help you find community and purpose at New City.

Part 1 begins with a complimentary Friday night dinner where you’ll meet others like you, our staff, and New City members and hear about New City's mission and vision.

Part 2 is on Sunday where you’ll join us for the serve portion of the Weekender—our Sunday experience allows you to see behind the scenes of how Sundays happen at New City and participate in serving with one of our teams. This hands-on part of the Weekender gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how our church operates and shows you how you can get involved in meaningful ways.

Whether you’re new to faith or just new to our church, the Weekender is a great way to get connected.

The Weekender is designed for those who want to move from being part of the crowd to feeling like family. Even if you’re familiar with our mission, this experience gives you a unique opportunity to connect deeper: you’ll meet our staff, hear a fuller picture of our vision, and discover specific ways your involvement can make a difference. It's also the first step in your ability to become a member at New City Church.

So if you’ve been wanting to feel more connected, why not give it a try? At the very least, you’ll get a complimentary dinner, some great conversation, and a chance to meet even more amazing people!

We understand that schedules can be challenging! If you attend the Friday dinner but can’t participate in the serve portion on Sunday, you’re welcome to come back for just the Sunday portion at the next Weekender. Our goal is to make sure you have the full experience and feel ready to take your next step, so reach out to our team, and we’ll help you make arrangements that work for your schedule.

Because of our current meeting space, we are not able to provide on-site childcare on Friday evening. Instead, we will fully reimburse your childcare expenses so you can attend the Weekender. On Sunday morning, childcare is available during our 9:00 a.m. session, and your children are welcome to attend New City Kids during our worship gathering.

Nope! There’s no cost to attend the Weekender. This is our way of welcoming you and helping you get connected here at New City!

Absolutely! The Weekender is a pressure-free environment designed to help you explore New City meet people, and see if it feels like the right place for you. There’s no obligation to commit. You’re welcome to come, learn, ask questions, and see if this is where you’d like to grow in faith and community.
